Der erste Advent liegt in den letzten Zügen. Obwohl ich nur wenig Zeit zum stricken hatte, ist ein FO zu vermelden, nichts besonderes: ein Schal aus Dochtwolle für mein Patenkind Lucius. Dafür war ich gestern shoppen, powershoppen sozusagen, denn ich habe alle Weihnachtsgeschenke zusammen. Und das noch vor dem 1. Advent, das ist ein absolutes Novum für mich!
Heute habe ich Weihnachtskekse gebacken, das mache ich immer am 1. Advent. Dies stand auf meiner Menütafel:

The weekend is almost over and there was hardly any time for knitting. But I finished a project, a very fast and simple k1p1-ribbed scarf for my four years old god-son Lucius.
But, yesterday I shopped xmas presents, and I got all my presents. 4 weeks before xmas and I have all my presents, this never ever happens to me before: I feel very good!
Today I baked christmas cookies, I always do this on th 1. Advent. This was on my menue blackboard:


Ich habe viel abgewogen, gerührt, geknetet, ausgestochen, bepinselt, gebacken ect.ect…
There was a lot of measuring, strirring, icing, baking and so on…


Die Elisenlebkucken bekamen eine Glasur…
This little cakes became an icing topping…


Und so weit bin ich bisher bekommen, fehlt noch eine Sorte!
And this is how far I made it: only one more sort and that’s it.


Ich backe Kekse nur für den Eigenbedarf, also für meine Gäste und für mich. Jedes Jahr wundere ich mich immer wieder, dass diese Massen nach und nach verschwinden, restlos.


I make christmas cookies only for guests and for myself. Every year when I see this masses of cookies, Icannot believe that they disappear – bit by bit, and by Christmas, there is no a single cookie left. Sad.
